Sunday School Fun: May 21, 2017

May 21, 2017 / Leave a Comment

Today's subject was Peter and Cornelius from the book of Acts. Cornelius was a Centurion in the Roman army who believed in God. He was of noble character and was respected by everyone. He sent for Peter and the result was a message that God loves everyone. Diversity is celebrated, as God is the creator of all, and prejudice should not be tolerated. Our guest, Cornelius (Bryan Sobczak) read to the students today. Our activity was to create shields, on one side a tracing of their hands with the fingers representing prayer. On the front, each student expressed their individuality with pictures and words describing their families and interests. What a wonderful class!

The Centurion later visited with the congregation at coffee hour. Thanks be to God!
