….I will pour out my spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy…
your young men [and women] shall see visions. – Joel 2:28

Youth ministry is essential to the heart of St. John’s United Church of Christ in Fogelsville. We stand with our sister churches of the United Church of Christ as we support, encourage and learn from the youth of St. John’s. Youth not only help to preserve our heritages and sacred rituals, but they also encourage us to dream of new ways to live out our faith.
At St. John’s UCC we consider “youth” to be approximately those between sixth and twelfth grade. We engage in spiritual reflection and growth, mission projects, as well as organized games and activities. Whenever possible, we participate in Conference-wide and even National UCC events such as Annual Youth Event, and Regional or National Youth Events.

May our sons in their youth be like plants full grown, our daughters like corner pillars, cut for the building of a palace. – Psalm 144:12

We also have scheduled youth group meetings and activities. Past youth group activities have included a Harry Potter lock-in; a youth mission trip to York, PA; participation in the American Cancer Society Relay for Life (Macungie); rollerskating and snowtubing. Check the St. John’s UCC Events Calendar for our upcoming youth events.
Our youth group utilizes multiple approaches of learning as they grow in their relationship with God. These approaches include the use of video, stories, technology, ritual and action.
The St. John’s UCC of Fogelsvillle Youth Group is currently led by Pastor Janet.

Don’t let anyone think less of you because you are young. Be an example to all believers in what you say, in the way you live, in your love, your faith, and your purity. – 1 Timothy 4:12
