Today, the students began preparing for the Last Supper! We read the story of the Last Supper, and students had a mini egg hunt in honor of Spring, which revealed eggs with the names of Apostles. Then, the students created drawings of their apostles on paper plates, and they created place mats with the names of their apostles for our Last Supper table setting. While they were creatively drawing their disciples, we were also making unleaven bread. It was a big hit at Coffee Hour! The congregation had the opportunity to taste test it with the Sunday School students, and they also saw their place settings for the Last Supper! Next week, we will be talking all about the Garden of Gethsemane.
