6/9/2019 0 Comments Memorial Day Service June 9, 2019 / Leave a Comment On this day, we remember all of those who have fought and died for our country in our Memorial Service. Thank you to the Pastor of our joint service church and to our organist for leading our service today. Thank you also to the Boy Schools and members of the V.F.W. for their support and participation in the service as well.  June 9, 2019 / Leave a Comment Today was the last day of Sunday School for the 2018-2019 school year. The students had a blast this year, and today especially, when they created chalk art to decorate the outside of our church and played with the parachute outside! They also baked some delicious angel food cake that they shared with the whole congregation at coffee hour after church. Special thanks to Sandy Sobczak for five years of service as our Sunday School teacher! She will be greatly missed by all of these wonderful kids!   June 9, 2019 / Leave a Comment
Happy Mother's Day! Today we celebrate our mothers, and the students learned about the Good Samaritan! Today, we thank Mrs. Amanda Moyer for subbing in as our Sunday School teacher! She worked with our students on words of kindness, positive messages, and a friendship tree! What a wonderful message: sharing positive messages with the world! What a blast! Our joint Easter Egg Hunt was so much fun this year. Thank you to all of those from both churches who donated baskets to raffle off and who donated and dyed our hard-boiled eggs! Today the students got to color Easter Eggs for next week's Easter Egg Hunt! It was so much fun to see them creating their own patterns and color combinations! They did an excellent job dying several dozen eggs! Our church is responsible for 35 dozen, so they had their work cut out for them! They can't wait to come to the Easter Egg Hunt next Saturday! April 14, 2019 / Leave a Comment The flower show with Michael Grim was a success! Thank you so much to the Grim family and all of those who donated baskets for our social and treats for after the demonstration! We had 104 baskets! Everyone in attendance was raving about Michael's beautiful arrangements!  |
